In response to our efforts, Sawai Group Holdings has received the following evaluations from external evaluation organizations.

FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index
We have been included in the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index, created by FTSE Russell. The FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index selects Japanese companies that are judged to be taking excellent environmental, social, and governance (ESG) measures relative to other companies in their respective sectors.
FTSE Russell (the trading name of FTSE International Limited and Frank Russell Company) confirms that Sawai Group Holdings has become a constituent of the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index as a result of an independent investigation. The FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index is widely used to create and assess sustainable investment funds and other products.
MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN)
We have been included in the MSCI* Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN), which is part of the MSCI environmental, social and governance (ESG) indexes, aim to represent the performance of companies that are leading within their GICS®(the Global Industry Classification Standard) sector groups in terms of promoting and maintaining gender diversity, while also meeting certain quality criteria.

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index
We been included in the S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index by Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).
The S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient index is designed to measure the performance of companies in the Tokyo Stock Price Index (TOPIX), while overweighting or underweighting those companies that have lower or higher levels of carbon emissions per unit of revenue.
Sompo Sustainability Index
We have been included for the fifth consecutive year since 2019 in Sompo Sustainability Index, an ESG management product managed by Sompo Asset Management for pension funds and institutional investors that widely invests in companies that are highly regarded for ESG (environmental, society, and governance).
Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization
We have been selected for the 7th consecutive year since 2018 as a Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organization.
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Nippon Kenko Kaigi recognize companies as organizations engaging in strategic health and productivity management program efforts for maintaining their employees’ and other workers’ health from a management perspective.
Nikkei Smart Work Management Survey
We have been recognized with a 3-star rating in the 7th Nikkei Smart Work, which selects leading companies that are taking on the challenge of revolutionizing productivity through Work-Style Reform.This survey, conducted by Nikkei Inc. since 2017, targets listed companies and leading unlisted companies nationwide, and defines “Smart Work Management” as efforts to maximize organizational performance through three elements: the realization of diverse and flexible work-styles, a system for creating new businesses, and the ability to develop markets. The ratings are based on a five-star scale.
Nikkei SDGs Management Survey
We have been recognized with a 3-star rating in the 5th Nikkei SDGs Management Survey, which evaluates the improvement of corporate value through the promotion of SDGs and ESGs by companies.
This survey has been conducted by Nikkei Inc. since 2019. It defines “SDGs management” as initiatives to contribute to the SDGs through business and lead to increased corporate value, and evaluates companies on a 5-star scale based on four aspects: SDG strategy and economic value, social value, environmental value, and governance.
CDP
CDP is the world's largest information disclosure foundation that handles information on corporate environmental activities. CDP is a non-governmental organization (NGO) in the United Kingdom that has three reports: Climate Change, Water, and Forest. It scores responses from companies to questionnaires in eight levels and provides information for investors to make investment decisions. The Sawai Group has a B score both in its Climate Change Report and Water Report.
